Someone posted on this the other day, saying they werent answering phone I think. Shame

 

There struggling to get stock apparently.

 

Closed a couple of weeks ago

 

So has it gone then? Thats a shame.

 

Their website says "currently closed due to stock issues, back again in a few weeks"...........

........I have my doubts, somehow.........

 

Well read into it what you will.why can't a business get stock?because it hasn't paid suppliers?i have never heard of a business closing temporarily because it can't get stock,it would still stay open for servicing,clothes sales etc. no business shuts it's doors for those BS reasons.

 

Make your own mind up, but in 2013 it appears they were about to be struck off and this year it seems the accounts are overdue.

Yeah, they didn't pay for it so have gone into receivership.
There's getting fewer and fewer bike shops. :Arghh:

 

Although it seems the ducati network is growing generally

 

No longer shows up on the Locate Dealers section of Ducati UK - A real bummer!

 

Went bust and never paid their bills either. Everyone who had bikes there for sale/service got them back though.
As I understand things, negotiations are ongoing to take over the franchise under a new name, as it won't be anything to do with Parkinsons any more... that's twice the Parkinsons brand have gone bust now!

 

That's a ball ache, Was gonna get my 748 serviced there early next year (12,000 miles belts & valve clearances). Anyone know of any decent mechanics/places that will do this service?

 

I hear Geoff @ Baines racing near Silverstone is amazing, not too far for you. I am trying him as soon as Christmas is paid for. Chatting on the phone to him he really knows these bikes and others on hear speak very highly of him. But as I say, not tried him yet.

 

Use to use Baines when I had my 916 in the late nineties, always worth the 50 mile trip. Live a little further away these days & I gather that they are no longer working out of a tin hut! Still intend to take my 848 there when the time comes

 

I figure if he has been working on them for 15 years he knows them as well as is possible. When I spoke to a very helpful Duc dealership I was telling them stuff and I have only owned one for 8 weeks. I think the big dealers are more concerned with the new bikes and wonder how much training they do on the older machines.

 

Think you'll find that it's somewhat longer than 15 years!

He's in Kent, just over the bridge by Bluewater, but he'll come and collect your bike and deliver it back for a small fee.
I'm in Chelmsford and although I do all the servicing myself, he did the valve check and adjust on my Hypermotard as I don't have the shim kit.
