  1. First off Merry flaming Christmas to you all! Hope you're having a fab day :)

Any pointers on the best (currently available new) carbon cans to go for?

They'd be for my 900SS IE 1999 model. Chars!

  2. There's a pair of scorpions with link pipes on eBay in good nick at a decent price imo. Not new obviously..

I contacted the seller who was very helpful, but from his measurements they're a smidge too big for my carby high level link pipes.

    Mick..

  3. Nice shout, thanks Mick. But going to go for new as most offer a lifetime guarantee for the original owner, as the bike's a keeper for me and carbon is more fragile than steel this seems like my best option :)

  4. I've got ie cans and link pipes on my carby 750 and they are long, they stick out past the number plate. Will cut them down in the spring.

  5. Wheelbase on the IE is longer than on the carby, so this'll probably be why :)

  6. Mine are 750 SS IE cans with fixed link pipes on a carbed 750 SS........not cut down or nuffink........just short of the number plate by approx 40mm.

  7. Niiiiiiiice. Lovely looking machine.

  8. ooooh, ta........

BTW.......the zorsts are Laser..........when I got them the cans were painted some sort of crackle black over some sort of red paint (possibly a primer)...........the finish was dire, so I removed it and found the anodized ally underneath was fairly OK, but slightly scratched in places.

When I repacked the cans, I replaced the ally cans with carbon tubes instead.
