  1. ...and i dont mean the usual "from home" shoit!

  2. On call. Does that count?

  3. not many I guess !!

  4. I got in at 0:30 after replacing a circuit board in Knightsbridge (Northerner's this is where the super rich go shopping, makes Wilmslow look like a council estate).

If I was dishonest I nick this guys parking ticket/voucher.

You can't see here, but the wind screen goes 100% reflective (mirrored) when parked, so he has to put the ticket under the wiper blade (£4.40/hr)

  5. Also on call...
Same last year (Christmas) some film producer near Pinewood Studios had his wine cooler switch into heating....tried to give me a £400 bottle of wine as a tip....I didn't take it as he was drunk as a lord....promised loads of work at the studios....Needless to say they didn't happen.

  6. 4.40.. tax deductible.

  7. Yes, so even better if I nicked his ticket.
It's still £4.40 out of my profits, so 20% is VAT and I pay 19% Corporation tax, so that's still £2.85/hr out of my pocket.

  8. The person responsible for interesting stuff on tele, defintely NOT working today.:Arghh:

  9. I didn't actually mean your pocket,, I was referring to the Roller man, it would be the taxpayer who was paying his 4.40 , well, I presume you didn't have to pop into Harrods because you had ran out of stuffing for your " business " Christmas dinner..

  13. I was just finished. Christmas eve 12 hours then back for Christmas day.
    4 days off now

  14. No work for me today, but back in on Monday and will only get New years day off

  15. Worked last Christmas - I have this one off :)

  16. Not me.

For the first time I can remember ive turned down 4 different work opportunities to spend time relaxing with family. It was tempting when they rang back with offers that they thought are to good to be refused. But as my old mans health has been a bit up and down this year i know i made the right choice.Who ever said there are some things money cant buy was spot on.

Then again saying merry Christmas to 1000 people and ejecting many from the premises and carrying some out covered in there own vomit never really gets me in the Christmas spirit for some reason.

For the emergency services, nurses etc and armed forces in particular stuck in shit holes like Iraq again i hope your back safe and sound relaxing with your family soon.
