I now know 2 people that have won bikes at the NEC show in free draws, one about 5 years ago, and one this year. i never win bugger all at anything !
I was on nightshift on the Millennium eve and the firm had put up a free raffle for all those who had to work. Two days later, I was off shift and got a 'phone call to say that I'd won the prize and could I get into work immediately to collect it. It turned out to be a brand new Renault Clio. Result...
£50 on a scratch card is the most I've ever won. Few £10 on the lottery over the years. Guy with the raffle ticket after mine won a go pro hd at excel this year. I was pissed as I nearly bought a couple extra.
My wife one 8k's worth of neff kitchen appliances 5 years back in a home magazine....they sent us the catalogue and said take your PIC up to 8k.....problem was, was that we hadn't renovated the kitchen\diner at that point so we held'em off for 6 months while we smashed the ground floor of the house up... 15 years ago my wife's dad won a mini in the local newspaper....and gave it to us....flogged it and bought a Renault 5 turbo raider.....what a car...
I never win fuck all. Prime example I was at do once and they had a charity raffle of prizes from a new helmet down to a pencil. But every ticket was a winner... no prizes for guessing which dickhead was stood there at the end with the only none winning ticket!! I still stick the lottery on every week via direct debit, not had a win for must be 2 years now!
Do you fix your numbers on the lottery....I used to, won fuck all but now I lucky dip it every week....won 25 quid this week and a few weeks back won 163 quid...
I used fix numbers used to win a tenner every fortnight until the price went up not had a winner since then so just do the euro when jackpot is silly money and only do lucky dip.
The only thing I ever won was a dinner at a really expensive restaurant. Unfortunately, I never went as I had had a professional argument (the sort where you end up hanging up on the guy) with the chief sommelier. It was a totally unrelated incident. How unlucky is that?
