I always thought where parkies were located was going to be an issue, stuck up the back of an old ind est, guess it came down to costs but they really needed to be positioned where passing traffic could see them and just call in.. Was only the dedicated who knew where they were.. Big shame though, won't be going to Seastar.. That's for sure..
It is a shame that middle East Anglia now has no dealer. Maybe something needs to be done about that.
real shame they have closed, not only was it on my door step, but got on very well with all of the guys there from what i hear there were several reasons why the closed down, one of them was fact audi wanted them to spend 1.3m on the facilities to bring it up to their showroom standards, and i cant think of many businesses that could afford that sort of $ all i know is that i now have a 120 mile trip to the nearest dealer, and a warranty claim unresolved, so need to speak to ducati uk direct to see what stage it got too, was told they admitted there was an issue, but yet to receive replacement parts
One thing I can tell you is Glen is going to set up on his own, I spoke with with the other day... Obviously not going to help with warranty issues but in the long run will be good news.. For us in the area.. N@@DS
i had heard a little about this, yes would be a lifesaver i will be keeping my ear to the ground to find out more
Noods sent you a message ref Glen, Good news if he starts on his own. I need his number if you have it buddy. Regards Ken.
Great news for those in the Essex Suffolk area after the sad demise of Parkies of Colchester.. I've just spoken to Glen (Ducati technician from Parkies) and he's currently setting up his own company called MOTO V which will be located opposite Parkies old shop.. It should be up and running in the next 3 weeks.. No contact details can be given yet, but, any questions you may have, I will pass on for you to Glen directly, eg bookings or information if it helps you.. I'm supporting him, I hope you guys will too.. Setting up any business these days is not easy, so please, those who need expert Ducati servicing and repairs in this area, give him your best, and give him a go... Thank you for your anticipated help.. NOODS
This is very good news... Glen is a very good mechanic and a top guy. Definitely worth a pop in to have your bike looked at.
That is good news will you pass on my name and email address to Glen for me. Ken Carroll [email protected]
Great news! Please can you forward my name and email also to glen, I require a 12000 mile service for my 748s. Simon: [email protected].uk

Interestingly, I got a letter this week from Ducati UK apologising for the closing of Parkinsons. This struck me as odd because: 1. it closed months ago 2. the wording was not complimentary to Parkies at all I'll take a pic of the letter shortly so you can see what I mean but I was just interested if anyone else got one?
