I'm looking to go thru this bike, restoring, replacing and upgrading without making too many alterations not to detract from the natural look of the CR. I've been building the bike over the last year, I had covered around 700mi on the road (day MOT) before I started the work. I'm looking to get it fully built this year.
And the Hinson clutch upgrade, replacing the stock pressure plate. I'm not certain of the gains here but it's a few grams lighter over stock and much more true, less cast defects. Hinson claim less drag, we will have to see. I've also upgraded to steel clutch and replaced the springs.
I had a couple of Y2K CR250's back in the day, one was road registered I knew it was time for new rings when it wouldn't wheelie off the throttle in top ;-)
