Help Me Decide Please.... 748 Or 848 (or Even 996....!)... Finally Chose 1098s :-)

  1. It was very nice, so I put down a deposit :)

    Couldn't budge him on price but got a paddock stand, some RST Tracktech gloves and free delivery from Westmeath down to Tipperary thrown in so quite happy. I'll have it in a couple of weeks....

  4. Nice one either way your a winner.

    1098 = very nice bike with slightly less service cost
    748 = nice bike with 2k plus in ya pocket compared to 1098 price for extra servicing

    But, a mixture of ecstasy and agony :-( Right hand fork seal is leaking so it will have to go back to the supplying dealer to be sorted. At least it's not summer though, we have snow forecast for the next two days so I wouldn't be using it anyway.....

  17. Very nice.I don't know what the forks are like on base 1098 but on 996 series the ohlins front and rear is so much better than the base showa stuff.Just seems to soak up the bumps far better on crap UK roads.
