Welcome aboard. I visited the Ducati dealer just off from the Shibuya crossing last year. Friendly bunch despite the language barrier!
Hello and welcome. Would love to visit Japan. Going to the 8hr and actually riding on the Suzuka circuit are on my bucket list
If you want to know more about riding in Japan try these two forums: Japanriders.com GaijinRiders.com They are very welcoming to new members and there are lots of useful threads on overseas bikers making trips to Japan. Also many Garmin maps of great routes. Such as the Toyo Tires Turnpike, which I rode this morning before work. 250Kms round trip in great weather.
How about these, taken just now from the cafe in my office building, over the grounds of the Imperial Palace.
Just got back from a business trip to NY, used eBay a lot, had an embarrassingly large number of boxes delivered to my hotel. Only just managed to get the box with the exhausts in to be accepted as a large suitcase for check in. Seat, exhaust and clutch basket. I now realise that I have never actually ridden a proper motorbike before. Weeeeeereeeeeee!!!!!!!!!
Hurro (sorry, my Japanese is pish) and welcome, pick the Duck any time over the bike that you are binning
Great bikes. I have an ST4, also with Termi's on. Goes great, sounds great. It's now done 36000 trouble free miles. Hope you enjoy it and send us more pics of biking in Japan.
Wow konnichiwa RedSquare san... Incredible photos of a truly wonderful place and the bike's pretty decent too! I've always meant to visit Japan, if not for skiing then riding a Ducati is a really good reason, as long as it is RED and as you've already met with Duc-Bird you are truly lucky yours' is the right shade!!! :Snaphappy::Stop: Go steady on the 'bling' as some things don't 'work' and whatever you do, get the end cans straightened-up man , look at them
Yes, right slip on fits properly with the inner and outer pipe sliding around the end of the header. The left pipe just slides completely over the header until it rests on the curve of the header pipe. I think they came off an ST4, which has larger headers. I tried to fix it at the weekend but I rounded out the Allen bolt head. Have new bolts on order, will then play with it again. Will bend the gap between the inner and outer pipes, should be good then.
