Termi Cans that have done 2000 miles. Will fit 1199 but up map is 899 specific. Gasket is goosed but should be easy enough to find. £900 +postage. I've tried to show any marks. These are minor and can't be seen when fitted. Cheers Harry
Hi , just wondering if cans are still for sale ? Would you ship to Ireland ( southern) . Also would I have to bring bike to dealer for up map ? Cheers Aidan
If installing the Upmap is the same as the 1199 then it's easy to install, even I managed it. You just plug in into the port under the pillion seat/cowl, turn on the ignition and follow the on screen instructions. It pretty much installs itself.
Fair enough. The advice I had from the dealer was they had to do it. Once I have the cash I don't care what the buyer does with it
I can confirm that it isn't the same as the bigger bike. You need to take it to the dealer and have the laptop plugged in. I have just had to do two of them ready for this season. Or if you know the dealer maybe he could bring the laptop to the bike, either way it's not as easy as the 1199.
Would like some of these but cannot afford any at the moment unfortunately. Bloody stupid idea that you cannot reuse the up map again if it has already been used on another bike. Every earlier model bike that came with a replacement ecu could be swapped over without any issues. To me if you have bought the cans with the map then it is your property to do with as you wish. To buy some cans and not being able to upgrade the map is a bit pointless as you will get very little benefit.
The upmap stick is a key to unlock the engine mapping thats already on the bike. Once installed to one particular bike it can't be used on a second bike unless it is uninstalled back onto the stick from the first bike then it can be installed to another bike. If one stick worked to unlock maps on countless bikes then people would just pimp them out to all and sundry. Because Ducati have the rights to Termignoni and the upmaps (or maybe they dont now because of a switch to Akra, but at the time they did) they don't want people using the upmap sticks to unlock the mapping for other exhaust manufacturers.
Ah right, so if the map has been taken off the bike and put back on the usb stick thingy then it can be used on another bike, didn't realise that.
Dealers can only do that if they have the right equipment, spoke to one yesterday who said they can remap ecu, when I asked if they were reflashing it they said no dont have the gear for it, so I said how can they remap they said they use a power commander so thats another £300 on top of their costs. I will take mine to Moto Rapido as they can do it without any additional add on bits. Both my 848's SF, Evo and my 1199s
