Ah, so that's what it is. Well, it works well enough, it's just that it's not a functionality that I need, personally (Mac, Mavericks, Safari). This is because I don't need to go to the bottom of a page. I just need to go "First Unread" and there is already a button for that. Interestingly, if the button took you instantly to the top of the page, that could be useful on occasion, especially on pages where there are many photos and you have to scroll laboriously to the top. But I never find myself having to scroll laboriously to the bottom. The little indicator at the top is also amusing and clever and well-designed, professional-looking, but I haven't found any use for its functionality yet. I wish you were putting all this creativity into my website instead. If only I could afford you!
Chrome on iPad Air. TBH, I don't know if it's me doing something wrong... I try rebooting the iPad. (Out of the window)!
Since adding the competition section, it isn't possible to have a direct click back to recent posts. The recent posts have now been relegated to a dropdown extras tab, requiring 2 clicks and a bit of mouse hovering on a pc, or some nifty finger work on ipad etc Would be nicer to have left recents where it was and put comps or members or user albums, which are used far less often, in the dropdown. The new set up makes quick navigation far more cumbersome. Should add that this is once viewing a thread, not from the normal overview.
Hi Glenn. Do you see a New Posts button on the secondary menu? That's what I'd recommend using when browsing as it will filter out any posts that you've already read. Recent Posts = everything New Posts = your unread posts
Got to say I like the new look of the site. Hadn't really looked round here much as I tend to keep an eye on ukmoc but this site now makes theirs look a little out of date now... Good one with the emails as well, not too often, but a good reminder on updates etc. Brought me back to the site Cheers Rob Tricky
I have noticed with the posting that it now often seems to take an age. I suspect that people think their post has not posted and hit the button again - hence the double posting. What seems to happen is that it does post eventually. I have started just hitting the button to post and moving on, without waiting for it. You can be waiting a very long time - perhaps indefinitely.
Not for me it isn't, I've tried clearing cookies, log out/in, which is the limit of my computer knowledge, still stays at top and disappears when scrolling down the page .
@Rob I still have an issue with the Recent posts. When I click on Recent posts it works fine and displays the recent posts. But now the Recent posts icon is now missing from the top black toolbar, so to display the Recent posts I now have to click on the 3 horizontal bars adjacent to the Members icon which brings up 2 choices: Recent posts, or Donate. When I click on Recent posts it again works fine and shows the recent posts, and now the Recent posts icon is now back on the black toolbar. When I click on the Recent posts again the same thing happens every time. I'm using Windows 7 + Firefox browser.
Still not working for me on my mobile. So can't use the site. The page won't reload and if I select one of the menu buttons it takes me somewhere random. The recent posts one takes me to a facebook page. page. It's as if one page is laying over another. Pages don't refresh, if the eventually do, nothing can be selected and freezes. If I make a post then submit it, it won't load up. Only going on the home pc, it is still there in the create box, greyed out. I can then send it from the pc.
