Manages to drop the Multi in slow motion on the way to work yesterday in a petrol station forecourt whilst pushing it !!! Checked it over, all seemed ok, head out of petrol station onto the Hammersmith flyover towards the City, go to grab 2nd gear and its all jammed solid, won't move, can't get neutral, nothing .... So I ride to Metropolis in 1st gear, carefully, on hazards at about 20mph !!! whilst easing the pain on my ears by coasting as much as possible .... I had never been to Metropolis before, had no idea what they may be like other than I know Jerry says good things, so roll into reception, explain my idiocy to the guys and they whisk the bike in, check it over and 10 minutes later ride it back out and its all working ...... Basically I'd put a small bend in the lever which meant it was jamming, they straightened it and then sent me on my way, no bill, no monies changing hands. So big thanks to Metropolis .......
Always nice to hear something like that - especially when you're basically jarred with yourself. Eases the pain somewhat!!
This surprises me. I live around the corner and always go to other places to service my bikes. Went in once and they were quite rude and not really interested in helping me. Could barely be bothered to look at me when I was trying to speak with them. Maybe I'll have to give 'em a 2nd chance in the futureā¦
