  1. Huh ? What the hell is going on, Queen Victoria is dead, so is her husband. Queen Liz and that old bloke are the current royals.

  2. I'm going to have a hangover tomorrow.

  6. Using deep freeze on my lower back. I used to hear people saying about sore backs and never understood the problem. Bloody ell, it's painful, suffering big time. Can't sit for more than 5 minutes.

  7. See an osteopath or chiropractor. I've suffered for thirty years and they're the only practitioners who've been able to deliver pain relief.

  8. Brother in law is one, he has offered treatment. Jez it's uncomfortable. I couldn't stick 30 years of this.

  9. I'm 6ft 2in with a long back, once played a lot of rugby and rode sports bikes for nearly forty years until I got the message and changed to a Speed Triple and then a Multistrada on the advice of my Osteopath. I'm fine now but once your back goes you always have to be aware it might go again. As you say, it's agony!

  11. I ride a sit up bike to work and really hope that's not the problem. On your recommendation, I will go get treatment. I'm a big girl, I hate people poking things that are already sore. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.

  12. Osteopathic and chiropractic treatment can be a bit daunting as there is a lot of manipulation involved and the noises from the bones cracking can be off-putting. But the result is worth it so stick with it if you can. You may need a series of treatments. Good luck!

  13. The bone-cracking noises are just pockets of air getting released within the joints - no cracking of bones is involved.

Still sounds a little off-putting though!

  14. Yes
I know. I've been treated for twenty years - but for the initiated though it was easier to describe it as bone cracking, I thought, because that's what it sounds like.

Anyway, I've recently discovered a state-of-the-art chiropractor at Victoria who's having amazing results. No disquieting noises whatsoever emanate from the computer-controlled devices he uses.

  16. Funny. But you've obviously never broken three vertebrae and a whole load of other rather important bones. Maybe you won't ...

  17. You would have to be thick or used to being in a painful place - or both - to put up with pain when you don't have to. Not saying you are either of course!

  18. Osteopath yes, chiropractor no. Ostopathy is a practical, effective, evidence- and reality-based treatment process involving the manipulation of displaced bones, joints, muscles and tendons. Chiropractic is a con trick based on fantasy and bullshit, which makes unsubstantiated, evidence-free claims to cure a wide variety of conditions; its prime objective is to separate sufferers from their money. There is a considerable difference.
