Getting Old, But New On The Forum

  1. Hi Guys,

I'm Alan, 51 years old, from Belgium, but spending a lot of time in Crete, Greece.
I've got a MTS 1200 abs for 2 years now, and wanted to get a second Ducati 848 evo.
After a test ride, it seems I'm getting to old for this kind of bike, to extreme.
Having 8 screws in your back, doesn't help getting on a 848.
So no second bike, that's why I want to spend some money on my MTS.
I would like to get the full exhaust system from Termignoni, but I don't like the long muffler.
Can I put the stubby muffler on in stead of the long one?
Or can I take the ulgly decat of and just put the stubby on, without doing anything to the electronics?

Here on the island we don't have any Ducati dealers, so I'm hoping to get some suggestions
    from you all.

    Many thanks,

    Alan

  2. Welcome Dave :)

  3. Hi Alan welcome.lots of good advice on here.
I know exactly what you mean re the long termi end can ,not to my taste either.iI went for a Leo Vince link pipe with the original termi stubby on my pikes peak ,works well for me and let's you lose the cat.
Have seen photos of bikes with the long muffler cut down .Looks much better but big step to spend all of that money on exhaust then cut off a few inches.
Lots of other options re exhaust and I'm sure others will be along to give their views. All the best

  4. Hello Alain you are a spring chicken compared to me but you do have 6 screws more than me in your back it's true : ) You are bound to get much help and many suggestions but might be better to pose (or copy and paste) your question in the Multi specific section with as much question relevance in the title as possible.
