1000 Vibration Between 3000 And 4000 Revs

  1. Hi all

Cast your mind back to when you owned a DS1000 Strada, noticed on my 2004 a strong vibration in the last few weeks. Seemed to start when I had my chain adjusted at a local bike shop and thought they may have over tightened it.

Since then (6 weeks or so ago) I've had a minor service and a new dry clutch and basket fitted and had the chain replaced (the sprockets were fairly new - didn't look after the previous chain) at a very good bike tire shop in Kennington and the noticeable vibration is still there. Was hoping the new chain would sort it.

It occurs between 3 and 4k revs in all gears. Put it into neutral and didn't notice it either.

    Thanks

    Chas

  2. If the first chain adjustment was done incorrectly could it be a rear wheel bearing issue or simply wheel balancing?

  3. My money's on wheel balancing!
