I'm upgrading motor in my Ducati 748, so I must sell the original. The bike was new in 2002, it had one owner. This was a 'barn find' bike, I scored in tatty shape due to poor storage. The bike was not used for 13 years. Only has 2429 genuine miles and full service history.The documents detail then engine went through the first Ducati service and I still have the voucher for the 6000 mile service. I have fully painted the engine with High Temperature Enamel paint, and heat cured the paint. All parts where removed and painted individually (keeping the crank case/ heads together). The engine had some serious paint flaking on the top so I stripped most of it down to bare metal and repainted. Using Etch primer and the finishing with a Metallic Silver and accented with a satin Grey. I have fully serviced the engine for this sale. New Dayco cam belts, New NGK spark plugs, New K&N Oil Filter, Serviced Clutch (filed down the basket grooves and sanded the plates). I have assembled the engine with Ducati 'Three-Bond' Sealant, and locktite where necessary. The price is 1000 pounds, the price is up for negotiation. It's low enough miles to take a reasonable price. And I've done a lot of work to clean it up properly for someone who's doing a nice face lift on their bike. I've also stated that I'm open to offers. care to make an offer?
