1200 Tune Or Rexxer As A 'fix'

  1. Talk of Quickshifters and Brembo brakes wonder whether anyone has experience or a view on 'off the shelf type' tuning packages for the 2014 Multi. Aware Rexxer is offered by some Ducati dealers and Tuneboy has has some good reports in the Wisbech area ( apparently includes a QS in the package).

Just be interested in any comments. I am aware of the custom package offered by others such as Chris at CJS.

  2. What is it that you want to be different and how far will your budget stretch to ? From personal experience just fitting de-cat pipework makes a noticeable difference. Moto Rapido offer an ECU overwrite without dyno time and then you have the custom map with dyno like CJS. A different exhaust is de rigour as a starting point and that topic has been discussed to death on this forum. Other goodies like caliper upgrades and lighter 1098/1198 wheels starts to increase the budget but both have a positive effect. I have a Leo Vince de-cat with the stock end can + baffle and an ECU overwrite. Performance in Sport is brutal and I will look to upgrade the calipers when my 748 track bike stops bleeding me dry. 3. Give Neil a Ring at Cornerspeed in Kirkby in Ashfield, fully autherised Ducati Service Centre. He does the Rexxer flash, you can take the bike up and have it done inc dyno runs or just send your ecu. The Rexxer flash does not need any physical changes to your Ecu and the original settings are saved so that it can be returned to standard. I have had this done to my Monster 1100 Evo with Termi's on and the differance is outstanding, well worth the money and you know that it is a proven mapping and can be reversed.

  4. Totally agree. The Rexxer Flash option done by Neil at Cornerspeed has been great on my Multi SSport. It's much smoother across the rev range and no more exhaust valve errors.

  5. I opted to buy a Rexxer.. You fill out a form, and they make a custom map based on your modifications.. I have to say the map is spot on!! I can lug the motor down to 1500 rpm and it is very smooth. I can also clear the service warning, and reset the learned parameters. A custom map may be a little better, but unless you are full time on the track, I don't think its necessary..It would have cost me $450 CAD to have the local bike shop flash with the Rexxer, It cost $650CAD for the unit with the tune.. You can't screw it up..Very happy with mine
