Went into jhp ducati yesterday, to order mirrors for my 851, looked at the scrambler looks better in the flesh. Loved his 888 racer and the 2 bevel singles were beautiful but not a single new duke appealed to me. They could of all been painted green or blue and white and had kwak or suzuki on the tank. They just look the same as every other ujm. That's progress.
Dont kid yourselves. The new one is 10 times the old one. And extra 60 hp and semi active suspension makes a huge difference
Bradders I'm sure it is, im not dissing the bike or the riders, they just feel like they have lost something to me. Just my personal opinion.

There's a market for simpler bikes, that's for sure. Look how popular the Monster range has been. Personally I'd like to see a stripped out 1100 Evo-engined bike, 90bhp and 150kg, something like that.
That's what's great about riding bikes the diversity. Having done the zxr/gsxr/zzr/cbr thing in my 20's and 30's I have now owned 3 dukes and a guzzi and wouldn't go back don't need 150bhp or 160 mph anymore
I read an interview with Miguel Galuzzi (Monster designer if you didn't know), and he was hinting at an 80kg bike with 50bhp, probably with an Aprilia badge. That sounds like a whole lot of fun to me.
At some point I WILL take a 1100 motor in a monster or similar and get it as light as poss and track it. 150kg, 95hp, 90lb ft would do me very nicely
My long term project, 749 frame and running gear 1100 air cooled, light as I can get it. Got the wheels, need the rest cheap
I'd love to build one of these with an air cooled multi engine in it,,,,,,,,, umm I know just the donor bike
Wonder how much it weighs? Love how they kept tank and seat unit tho rather than usual ditch and replace
Yop hop (Hello) I'm interested by the CD. Do you have? Best regard's Forza Yac PS: Sorry for my bad english....
