I like the idea of just some wrap on the top of the tank, not in all the curves. Tank is black now, so another colour and match with large decals could work.
Btw that gold wheel looks mint, when you having the rear done? I have three sets now, not sure if to stay black (2 sets are already) or go gold...breaks up the black nice
I looked into getting a gold front but they're pretty rare and u can't justify the cost of painting the black one. I've got another black one coming for the rear so at least they match. I'll keep the gold for wets.
The professional wrappers said the vinyl I got was crap, it was thin, wasn`t very sticky and wouldn`t stretch very well. It was a perfect colour match for what I wanted though. Their effort at wrapping the tank was ok but was starting to lift in places. Mine had the look and texture of, I would imagine, a 90 year old womans arse. They reckon the tecwrap stuff is better but not the best.
The problem was getting a good finish with the gold apparently. Much better to get it painted. Yes the BEAST of a scooter......when's the next mopedathon?
A bit of an update! I decided I didnt like the Union Jack on the belly pan. You couldn't see it under the bike and it needed something to break up the black. I got some brand stickers made up and although I'm not a massive fan of branding normally, Im really happy with the result. I also got a black rear wheel as I couldn't find a gold front. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for a gold front as that's the ideal.
