Hi guys, well after coming off my DS the insurance have deemed it a CAT B, so it CANNOT be put back on the road, well at least the frame/VIN can`t.....So that will need to have a C.O.D certificate issued against it.....all the rest of the bike can be sold on.... I bought the bike back from the insurers with the thought of finding another DS to rebuild but another bike has come up that was on my short-list along with the DS.......(Aprilia Caponord ETV)....At the mo though it`s still all together, apart from the screen/dash which came off due to the bracket breaking....I still have that but it won`t fix back on....I started the bike on Wednesday and was fine...the bike is showing 22k miles and was MOT`d last October...I am gutted as was going to strip it down over the cold period and really go to town on the grottier parts... I`m open to offers for the whole bike BUT the frame can`t go....it would get sliced in 2 after a sale has been agreed.....The bike is located in South Essex.....please call 07768 453975 for any more info....Thanks.....
Oh Hi, did wonder who owned it before...when did you own it.?..as the last name on log book never replied to my letter asking about the bike , a Mr Savi from Edinburgh...... Cheers.... Oh another thought....Tracking it eh..? now there IS a thought...hhmmm...
I sold it to a fella who lived Ipswich way about 2 1/2 years ago. I was the second owner from around 2008 until then. Rode it in all weathers, all year round and wasn't very good at cleaning it, hence the state of the engine. Apologies[emoji9]
yeah it is in a state...naughty boy..tut-tut.....was going to strip it down and get it ice-blasted to bring back to decent colour then paint it......thought i`d offer it on here for a forum member first , before going flea-bay route.....
im interested, but why cut the frame in 2 after a sale if you have bought it back from insurers already? Surely if it was cat B it would have been done already?
