Popped my Ducati cherry!

  1. Hi All

Just thought I'd say a quick hello. I've been riding bikes on and off for 10 years from 50cc mopeds to my last bike which was a Yamaha XS850 Midnight Special. However a couple of weeks back my Uncle (an avid Ducati rider all his life!) was selling one of his bikes (Ducati Multistrada 1000DS 2003), and offered it to me for £2500. It is in mint condition, full service history and loads of extras (ducati side pans, top box, carbon fibre rear hugger and front mudgaurd, centre stand, double bubble screen, gel seats etc...) with 14k on the clock. So I figured it was too good an offer to pass up, and am loving it!!

Had a one small glitch this week where the amber warning light came on with error code 37.3 and 38.0, but after getting it to a garage found out that the battery was just a little low (although not sure how as I'd been riding fine the previous day).

Anyways, I live in Yeovil, Somerset. I'm new to the forum so thought I'd pop in and say hi.

    Laters

  2. Hello and Welcome Mike! :upyeah:

  3. Hello and welcome, always nice to have new folks on here, especially as you're new to Ducati too. Have fun on here, you'll find plenty of people with really helpful advice. Chris

  4. Welcome. Dukes do like good full batteries, as they take a lot of effort to start, may be worth looking at a battery maximiser / conditioner and keep it plugged in whilst not in use, especially if it has an alarm on etc..

  5. You're very welcome here, enjoy the show.
