Ciao Ragazzi, I'm new to the forum and reasonably new to biking, having acquired a 600ss a couple of years ago and decided to do the DAS thing. I love that little bike and can't think of a better introduction to the sport / hobby / obsession. Unfortunately she started cutting out after 5 minutes riding; I think a replacement carburettor is needed. Rather than getting on with buying replacement carbs and since I had just too much space in the garage (that yawning chasm between the SS, the table tennis table, bicycles and children's scooters, various pieces of useful-looking timber, etc), I bought a 996. I've not yet ridden that bike as there's been a bit of a hold-up while the private plate it was on gets transferred, but I have looked at it an awful lot...I think I'm going to like it.
Very nice You will love them both in different ways The 600 SS is a lovely bike it was my first big bike Oh hello and welcome to the mad house
Thanks to you three. This does seem the best / most popular of the Ducati forums; I look forward to learning from and contributing to it.
Well, we had a brown envelope from Swansea in the post this morning. ...And it's a tax reminder for the car. Phoned DVLA for the umpteenth time and the reg transfer has been rejected again due to another mistake on the previous (officially current) owner's part. The 996 was purchased on 30/01/15. I'm pretty frustrated about this. Anyway, thanks for the smashing welcome.
