Searched but found no answers, I seem to have a throttle issue? When accelerating the bike revs to a level and then stops . It seems like when it gets to say 4,000 RPM instead of reving throug it smoothly it is like the fuel is cut off for a second or two and then it continues. It seems like it is in the fly by wire settings but I'm not sure. Has anyone else experienced this? Bike runs FatDucs but will do it with or without, does it with standard or Mivv exhaust , does it hot or cold but more noticable in low gears when cold. I have 23,000 klms on the bike.
Sounds like a trip to your Dealer is on the cards to me...........maybe the bike is running in some form of limp mode/safe mode due to a fault detected by self diagnostics?
Andy this would mean a code/light but no such thing. I will be off to the dealer but I'm that kind of person that likes to have an idea before fronting, seems to shorten the WTF is wrong period by the dealer. The bike is up for major service in 1,000 k's so will bring it to their attention then. I also aim to get the thing re mapped , although the only guys I've found so far are using Rexxer maps, which may be great but don't seem to be modifying the maps for each bike. Got to say great bike but you need to keep on top of the maintenance and repairs like no other, think I'll pass on buying that Ferrari!
Yes you would expect an error code on the Dash but who knows if there isn't a fault with that system also? ........with the symptoms you describe I don't think I'd be riding the bike (potential to get you in trouble [e.g.no acceleration at a time you REALLY need it] and/or possibly causing harm to the motor?), can't be much fun anyway, and I'd be getting the bike to the Dealer now rather than waiting another 1000km. Just my humble opinion, obviously you have a better feel for how 'serious' the issue could be. Keep us posted, I for one will be very interested as to the cause and the fix ;-)
Andy wouldn't place it in the dangerous to ride , annoying ,yes ! I'll keep you posted as it seems no one else has had this issue.
I suspect it could a lambada sensor ? I been getting the odd error (once per week) since my last service Symptoms is that it struggles a little to start (like only one cylinder is using the choke until the other kicks in), LAMDA error shows on dash and then I turn it off and on (haha) and its ok again. Now when it first happened i didnt reset the bike. Then I noticed accelerating that it 'hesititated" at 6-7 rpm. Thats my unqualified/totally non-mechanic suggestion. (have 17,000 mls (similiar mileage to urs)) - and as the scary name suggests I reckon if I saw a lambada sensor on a dark night in a dark alley I would probably run as it sounds pretty menacing as all I know its somehting to do with oxygen sensor or something. - Sorry point is that the error does not show all the time - and it could the same thing happening to you but unlike me you are not getting the once-per-week fault error. bugs
Bugs Lambda does bring up a code as you said , have seen it when the first Fat Ducs I put on did not work. I do believe that the Lambda is operating in closed loop , this ends after 4,000 RPM so I'm not sure ? As said the feeling is linear revs then flat and after winding on some more throttle takes off again. I'll try and notice the revs next time , I posted more or less wanting to see if others had had the issue , I find steering the dealer in the right direction helps resolve my issues more expediently.
