  1. Pleased to be able to say that my good friend Glen has at last opened the doors of his very own business.. Moto V in Colchester.. For those who might not know Glen, he is the keenest most approachable Ducati, Factory trained specialist you could ask for.. Always upbeat, smiling and enthusiastic about the bikes in his care along with their owners.. He's a truly honest and hardworking guy..

I'm sure old customers and new will be delighted to hear of Glens venture, whilst wishing him a long and happy future working on the bikes he adores at his own workshop..

You can contact him now via the following..

  4. Had my Multi in with Glen yesterday and as usual he did a corking job for an extremely reasonable price!

    He even made tea.

  6. Glen is the younger technician and Alex the older and quiet one.. Martin sorted spares and services...

Glens going really well on his own already, ( thanks to everyone's support) if you want to see his impressive workshop go to his facebook page... Moto V Colchester...

His website should be up and running soon, eg 3 weeks..

He's already had a desmocedici in there..
I would encourage you to give him a look..

  10. Hi Noods

Do you know if Glen is working tomorrow? Obviously it's a bank holiday but you never know. Ive been having trouble getting in touch.

    Cheers!

  13. Glen had my Triumph Speedmaster in the other week for it's first service as I have lost faith in the main dealer.
I visited him beforehand to see what I thought, although I had heard of him from other people.
Nice chap to deal with, and a very decent price, certainly seems to know he's stuff.
I will be giving him my 900SL to get sorted over the winter.

  14. Best of luck to Glen and I hope all goes well for him. It is an extremely difficult task setting up on your own and having to answer the phone/emails/hangers on whilst still working on the bikes.

  15. Well chaps. I thought I'd post my experience with Glen at Moto V also.

Bike was booked in for a 12k service, shims, belts, fluids etc and a damn good going over.

I printed Glen a rather anal list of items that I wanted checking out as its my first 748, and the first thing he did was say "let's have a coffee and go through it".

Glen communicated very well whilst working on my bike over 2 days, discussing issues and extras that i'd asked for, and even had a replacement rocker for me at a bargain price.

Now the bike is setup and serviced correctly it rides great, solving my midrange power issue as I mentioned in another thread which was a problem with the fuel pump blocked with corrosion. All sorted, and Glen even filled my tank up.

Anyone in Essex who needs work on their Ducati should go see him, he has so much time to give to make sure you're happy and getting exactly what you want.

    Awesome experience! :)

  16. I was really pleased when I found out Glen had set up his own business after Parkinsons had folded. Glen was the only reason I kept going back there even when they had lost whatever made them a success over at Marks Tey. Glen works on all of my bikes, and my son's, and I would recommend him over any other mechanic (and I've had my bikes serviced by quite a few!). For me enthusiasm goes a long way and it seems Glen loves bikes whatever make or model. It's always great to have a chat with Glen about bikes and he is always happy to do his best or give advice no matter how difficult the biking problem. Sadly my 996 is probably now as upgraded as it'll ever get so I'll need to think about another Ducati (actually not sadly at all, I'll just have to get a second Ducati!) A real expert and a nice guy as well! What more could you want?
