  1. Hi, names Ross, originally from NZ but have resided in Perth, West Oz for the last 26 years.
After riding Japanese bikes for the last 37 years (mainly Suzuki's) at 52 years of age bought my 1st Ducati a week ago, a 2009 1198 in pearl white, full Termi system, race ecu & splashing's of carbon fibre. As I am only a weekend rider I am still getting used to her but absolutely loving the change.

  2. how do. loved the rf900 in a former life.

  8. I think 26 years is enough to call him an Australian. I too am a 52 year old living in Perth WA. Welcome Ross. We're so lucky with our climate, 300 riding days a year minimum, if anything, winter is a much more comfortable time to be out on the bike

  14. Welcome. Reminds me of the time the NZ prime minister was asked if he was concerned about the the wave of migration from there to Australia. He said no, as it was improving the average IQ of both countries. Nice bike BTW.

  15. Ooh,as a test of nationality, how did you feel about the cricket?

  16. i dont know whats worse, an aussie gloating bout winning or whinging and making excuses for losing......

  17. I think England exceeded their potential..

    :upyeah:

I went to Perth once, stayed one night, had a drink in The Lucky Shag. Nice view down the river.

  18. My impression of the Aussies on home turf is that the press are worse for whinging and gloating than the people themselves. They don't like getting beaten at anything by the Poms, its true, but they get over it. They mutter and grumble then go off to practise to make sure it doesn't happen again. And to be fair they're always quick to give us a round of applause for making a decent go of it for a change. But losing to the Kiwis is a different matter. That's a national disaster.
