Dropped my 996 off at Baines for it's belts and valve clearance service so fingers crossed the rockers are all ok! If they are it gets some treats , if not i guess I'm skint
Got the call from Geoff, and it's a clean bill of health thankfully. Gives me the money for a cheeky trackday or 2!
very happy days. How great is Geoff? I have read all the reviews and he is the closest specialist to me but I wasn't expecting such great service. Spoken to him a few times now about the bike and he sounds so enthused and upbeat about it and genuinely happy to be working. Can't wait to pick it up now!
My 996 went to Baines a few times before I bought it. I remember when I was looking at it, I actually called Baines up to check what they did. Without hesitation he went off and gave me a full breakdown of all what they had done to the bike over the years. I was more than happy. If I didnt service all my bikes/cars myself, then id be taking it back there.
Got my 748 back today from its big service and it also had a clean bill of health. So I took it out this evening and spanked it.
Yeah, the A413 takes me home so the return journey on Saturday was lovely. Just speaking to Geoff makes me love my bike more, well that and the good news
Its great when you find someone with enthusiasm for your bike and that you trust. I popped into Brancanto after a mate told me they did the fairings on his bike, the guy just does it coz he loves it and I spent over an hour and half pf him telling me about lots of different stuff, showed me his special bikes. I wondered when he actually did any work! I am lucky I know a few guys like that, although none work on my bike as they tend to own the premises
Was that recent Bradders, ie is Brancato still active? I thought he'd hung up his spanners a while back.
