Sf 848 Losing Power

Discussion in 'Streetfighter' started by chrisn770, Apr 20, 2015.

  1. Wondering if anyone has experienced this same issue - when accelerating and up shifting i'm getting a moment of loss of power before it picks up again, even though im on the trottle hard. Its more obvious when doing a clutchless upshift.

its kind of like bbrrrr brrrrrr (upshift) b b brrrrrr

Want to get this looked at but interested if anyone has any views/ideas one this.

Also tried to contact Tony @ moto corse but then found out he is no longer in the UK - anyone have any recommendations of decent duvati tuning specialists in west midland/wales ?

    many thanks
    Chris

  2. Louigi Moto // Ducati Specialists for all Ducati spannering.
CJS RACING Ducati Cylinder Heads Tuning Gas Flow Dyno ECU Custom Mapping Bristol Bath for all Ducati dyno work.

One stop shop. Two businesses run from the same premises and not too far from you (just south of Bristol).

Don't ring just to pick their brains though. Some days they have so many people badgering them with little telephone queries that poor old Rich is tearing his hair out because he can't get any work done.

It sounds like you might want some electronic investigations in which case give Chris at CJS a ring. He's the diagnostics man. And if you book a session, do yourself a favour if you haven't had it done already and get a custom remap.

  3. This may sound silly, have you got a quickshifter on the bike at all?

  4. Mine had odd cutouts before its first service just loosing power on odd occasions

Was fine after 1st service then I stuck Termis on it and got Moto Rapido to do a full remap- then it improved again considerably

  5. Ducati Coventry (also known as JHP) are in the West Mids. They also have a good reputation.

  6. Thanks everyone,

Think I'll get it booked in to either one of the specialists mentioned above.

    No quick shifter installed.

It's done just over 3k and is due it's 12 monthly service, also has termin's and ecu fitted.

Just been out tonight and it only happens at around 5.5/6k revs and above.

    Hopefully just needs re-tuning.

    Thanks
