Hi everyone... Hoping some of you could answer some of my questions and sorry if they have been asked before.... I'm hoping to buy an 1199 Panigale in the coming weeks and was wondering a few things .. 1. Is it worth spending the extra few quid to go for the "S" model ? I'm in a position now where I can buy the basic model, or should I squirrel away for another while and hold tough for the "S" ? 2. I know the S model has the DQS as standard, as well all other gizmos, but does the basic model also have the quick shifter as standard ? Can anyone confirm exactly what electronics are on the basic 1199 as standard ? 3. Finally, does anyone have a picture of an 1199 in red, (plain red) but with white wheels instead of the gold/black. I can't seem to find a picture anywhere !! Thanks lads
Always worth spending that little bit more for an S, you'll get it back when you sell it. The forged wheels on the S weigh next nothing and then you have the electronic ohlins suspension, TTX rear shock and lets not forget the LED headlights, Ohlins steering damper. If you looking at a Base ABS model then bar the suspension the gizmos are the same. Needless to say a None ABS models erm has no ABS!

No,i would go base abs and put proper Ohlins on it,come resale time take off Ohlins and resell on,a lot of it sales hype why stop at the s as the r is better ect ect ect,imo you will have just as much fun on the abs as you would on the s.
I know what you mean but is he going to want to bother doing that? Before you know it you have spent grands on forks wheels etc etc.
Not wanting to go into your circumstances but go with what ever you feel comfortable with any 1199/1299 will be a joy to own,ride and look at.
As Simmy says any one of them will be great fun, but I do think 's' models hold their value a little bit better. I did see a photo of an 1199 with white wheels a while ago but to me it didn't suit it, I will see if I can find it.
Yep... Gold is much nicer. Just put a deposit on an 1199s this evening so can't control the excitement.
That looks savage !! What colour gold is that ? Did you paint or powder coat them ? Also, how do you find those continental tyres ? I've just bought an 1199 and its arriving on the same tyres but I dont know much about them. Thanks
How do you it Savage ! Have u seen me ! They are painted chap, I was in the trade for 25yrs + They are a Vw colour 1 of my mates painted them for me. I don't like powder coat I personally feel they aren't glossy enough. As for the Tyres they are Foookin great Really positive feel & good in the wet Too ! I'm putting Race Attack endurance's on for the I.0.M TT Is yrs Secondhand then ? I thought they all came with Supercorsa's new ?
That's good. Didn't want to be forking out for tyres. No, it's second hand. It's 2013 Panigale S. Bought it in Germany so I'm waiting in it to be shipped back to Ireland. I'm heading to the TT this year too. Arriving mad Sunday. Really looking forward to it. This will be my first Ducati so I hope I have a trouble free few days ! First thing on my list when it arrives is to get the wheels done. I love the look
Cool I'm off to the Nw 200 Three weeks on Friday Going to the TT practice week as always We just ride round & round normally about 250 miles a day going on the 28th of May back on the 4th of June. You'll love it Gods country lovely people too [emoji2]
