Ok ,so you'r suggesting its a micro mini I need for splashing around in mud? Yikes, I think I'm a bit old for that.
I tend to use it on the Humber and Trent quite a bit, but generally anywhere coastal, had a blast to the Isle of Wight last weekend "how much do they cost" ? How much you wanna spend ?? I built this one, but to buy it in current spec would be £15-20k. smaller ones are less money but conversely less capable when the weather turns pants....... little bit of on board footage here..... YouTube - Solent cruise Aug 2012 the other craft in the vid is a commercial one that would set you back around £150k
I live up the road from the home of the hovercraft and spent many minutes on the Southsea to IOW one as a kid
Two years ... Two years in the building but my garage is just about finished. Bikes in, benches, shelving, tools etc to follow
Dave, nice hotel you got there, but you need to have the bikes facing front way as it would looks better and they won't get bored at looking at the wall. I'm only joking that is one stunning garage and one good collection if bikes a lot of twins going on there, wres the jap stuff gone zx10r has to be the 04/05 model, blade and 04 r1 would go nice with the ducs. Ps still waiting for the vid of your new bike
Dave, what in the world do you do for a living and do you need a bike friendly PA? That garage is almost perfect. Do you have a bench on the other side of the image for playing or fettling?
Nice garage.... exactly opposite to mine which is small, full of crap and I have to use a petrol generator because there's no power....
LOL thanks everyone - it was over two years ago that we broke ground on this building project and I am VERY happy now that it is nearing completion. I've had a few IL4s in my time but Vs are my thing. I'll post a vid of the D16 as soon as she is run-in enough to really open-up! I really want all the bikes to be accessible so I can get any one out for a ride without having to move any others. There is a DD bike in the shed to add to this lot, plus a hydraulic lift, workbenches, shelving etc. so the space will soon shrink. I also want to be able to ride them all regularly and a few of them just haven't been getting enough use so I think I will be selling some. Just not sure yet! The benches will be added along the back wall probably. I'll post another pic in a few weeks when it is more set-up.
LOL ... I really don't see the point in having several similar bikes ... all my bikes are quite different (that's my justification!) Bimota? RC30? RC45? One large capacity sportsbike is enough for me. Now I have the D16 I'd be looking at selling the SPS if I didn't think I might end-up selling the D16 in 3 years once the warranty and free servicing has expired. So instead I'll probably mothball the SPS for a few years.
Fair enough. But if you had a DB1 or DB2, you'd have a hugely underpowered sports bike and that's a whole new riding experience!
