  1. DUCATI 999 2003 BIP

This is my stunning Ducati thats has been recently refreshed over the winter months ,
every part of this bike has been checked , cleaned , replaced , repainted and polished
where required either by myself , Ducati or by qualified paint professional.
Here is a detailed run down section by section of all work carried out:
    BODYWORK
Even though it is a low mileage bike there were a number of stone chips that
annoyed me so all fairings were repainted in the original Formula Red , the tank
and Monoposto seat unit were wet flatted and highly polished.
The top cowl and front and rear huggers were then taken to Image Works for my choice of decals
which set it of just right , not too much at not too little , after this all fairings were treated to FIVE coats
of lacquer for a deep shine and to give plenty of protection. All fairings were then refitted with
Pro Bolt gold anodised fairing kit. New Ducati Performance Double Bubble screen fitted for
    little bit more wind protection.
    ENGINE
Whist the bodywork was away at paint I took the opportunity to get the engine and drivetrain how I wanted
so all fluids were replaced , fresh coolant , new Castrol Power 1 oil and K&N filter , airbox removed
and cleaned out and so were the Ducati Performance air filters (similar to k&N mesh type).
Genuine cam belts fitted by Ducati Wolverhampton less than two months ago with stamp in service book.
APTC slipper clutch fitted with open clutch cover and along with the Termi pipes and make all
the right noises and gets down the road very well thanks to the fitted Power Commander USB 111 and
custom map rolling road tune up to suit the exhaust and filters , come with printout to show 122bhp
and max torque of 72.9nm which is higher than a standard "S" or "R" model.
As new Renthal Gold 525 chain and sprockets.
    BRAKES
Brand new EBC HH pads fitted front and rear (not even bedded in yet).
All calipers drained , removed , cleaned and refitted and refilled with fresh fluid (DOT5)
Pro Bolt anodised reservoir caps fitted.
    ELECTRICS
Upgraded battery leads fitted using 20mm cable instead of the original 10mm which is prone to heating up and breaking down.
The large cable is fitted from the battery to the starter solenoid and from solenoid to starter motor and the same on the negative and
earth cables which means the engine now spins over quicker when starting.
All other cables and connections have been cleaned and protected to prevent any problems.
Also fitted is a Meta Def Com T insurance approved alarm with certificate.
Nice rear LED type light incorporating tail light , brake light , indicators gives great light at night to help be seen.
And clear front indicators with orange bulbs.
A new battery with 2yrs warranty means it turns over and starts great.
    TYRES
Pirelli Diablo Corsa 111 have plenty of life left in them with 3mm on the front and 3.5mm on the rear.
    POLISHING
I saw a Ducati with polished exhaust pipes on a forum so had mine polished by a specialist company then I decided I
liked them that much that I would polish a few things myself and that was it I just couldn't stop!!
It now has polished Ohlins steering damper , top and bottom of front forks , rear shock , swing arm stabiliser bar , foot pegs and hangers ,
gear lever and linkage , rear brake lever and all the bolts pins and fasteners that secure these items.
    CARBON
Carbon effect cam covers , ign key surround and one of front sprocket cover , carbon fibre exhaust pipe heat shield and heel guards.
    OTHER EXTRAS
Gilles chain adjusters , Pro Bolt oil filler cap and clutch fluid cap , Opitmate baterry charge lead , Monoposto seat unit,
all in fantastic condition. Clear HPI check and various original parts included.
This bike sailed through it's MOT and since been back together has only covered 200 miles , runs really well and with confidence inspiring slipper clutch and Ohlins steering damper to help you feel safer going into and out of the island and twisty corners.
As you can see from the pictures I have fitted black frame plugs to hide the frame bolts.
Brand new Renthal grips firm texture and grey in colour.
JHP fuel tank cap and housing.
Mini K&N type breather filter , replaces the huge breather pipe and collector and looks more pleasing to the eye , original included in sale.
I have listed it as a Biposto but its really a Monoposto due to the single seat unit , I do have a pillion seat (in red) , seat frame and fairing available at a separate price in great condition.
Ideally it should be in a lounge , man cave or garage show piece it really is that stunning to look at!
And sorry but I already have another bike so not looking for a part exchange , deal , goat or anything that does not resemble cash ££££££££!

NO TEST RIDES WITHOUT FULL PAYMENT AND INSURANCE

Priced to sell at £5100 ono

  2. Should the torque be 72.9 lb-fts which is around 99Nm? 72.9Nm sounds very low.

  3. Ah yes quite right it is 72.9lb-ft thanks for that.

  4. Now price dropped to £4800!!!!!!!!

  5. You might want to tell the lovely people what the mileage is

  6. Service history is quite important too, and the ownership history for that matter: how many owners, how long have you had the bike, etc etc.

  7. That's pretty...

  8. Ah yes some good points raised , just when I thought I had covered everything.........
    16,000 miles
    5 Owners (including me)
Part service history quite detailed but to make sure it was up to date I did everything
Owned it for just under 12 months got it exactly how I wanted it to look and to my standard but decided to reduce my collection to one bike so this one has to go.
Hope this helps , anymore questions feel free to ask.

  16. Where did you go wrong, my Hayabusa held the British and European Land Speed Record for 11 years with 440BHP and a terminal speed of 248mph on a UK runway only 2.1 miles long and my 1975 Z1B throws out 185BHP and is much older :p

Mr R is only playing :) but he did sort of like it ;)

  17. Right everyone looking to get this sold before the TT as I need the room so I'm now dropping the price to £4600 ono , be quick before I change my mind!

  18. I sold my 999S with 7000 miles - 03 but registered 05 for £4700 last year - it took a while to sell.
