Thing is,where else could you store something really valuable? Ok some paperwork can be stored electronically, but I doubt all Hatton Garden jewellers have their own super-secure storage,so stock has to kept somewhere. It's surprising that more people don't make use of them, but as more and more Banks are phasing them out it's unlikely a potential customer will find one locally. In the end,it's just an extra level of security-whether you put your stuff under the bed,in a sea container, buried in the back garden or in a safety deposit box,all you are doing is keeping your possessions away from prying eyes and sticky fingers. If you want the best of something it's likely to cost the most,so those who use them may well have a few quid...*sigh*...jealousy is such an ugly trait...
NOPE. 99% of jewellers keep there stock on site. They trust no one. 2 or 3 alarm systems, each from a different make and installer, linked to different control rooms. I was in that business for a long time. What may surprise you is what they carry on them.....
And the owner is surprised and puzzled I think I would be angry and devastated for my customers Hmmmm
If anybody had illegitimate materials of any kind in the deposit, they would hardly say so, would they?
I'd imagine a few owners of said boxes will be having a word in the odd shell like. :Nailbiting:ead:ead:
I guarantee that this will be turned into a feature film. I'm sure there is somebody writing the script right now (Guy Ritchie?)
