2007 Monster 695 Help

  1. Hi everyone,

    I was inspecting my wife's bike today and I found this round looking thing. Looks like some kind of spacer. It was just resting beside the wire pictured below and the engine block. I looked everywhere and can't seem to find where it came from. Does anyone have any idea where it came from or if it even belongs to the bike.

  2. It's a rubber damper block from between the fins. The air cooled engines have them wedged between the fins to cut down on noise produced by the fins resonating. A "ring dinger".

  4. Yes, seriously. Item 12 in this pic from the parts list.

    Vibration damper pad, part no. 700.1.027.1A
    Loads. 47 for the cylinders and 24 in each head. 95 in all.
    A few always fall out. I wouldn't worry about them.
