Belly Pan For Half Faired 750ss I.e

  1. Hi

Does anyone know of an off the shelf belly pan that ideally comes with all fittings etc that will fit a 750ss i.e. Ideally carbon to save any painting. I've trawled various threads and the net but can't seem to find anything?

    Cheers!

  2. certain ducati monster ones fit

Unfortunately this is the "cheap, no fittings, paint with rattle cans" approach, but done right it could look good. I think the Ricambi Weiss product is this one:

    DR511 DUCATI MONSTER 696 796 1100 2008-2013 Belly Pan Spoiler Fairing NEW | eBay

I can't find one with fittings, in carbon or any other style, specifically for the SSie, and it would be a pity to pay a fair bit for a Monster one with fittings, and then find that it needs modification. I also think that a colour matched one would look better than a contrast, but that's just my opinion.

  4. Thanks folks. Having another look I came across this, on paper the perfect thing:

Ducati 750SS HF - V Twin Belly Pan - Skidmarx UK Ltd

Colour match in red seems ok, at least in the photo. I would prefer red, was only thinking carbon really to avoid any colour matching issues or getting it sprayed. Hmm what's the opinion of the skidmarx one from an aesthestic viewpoint? I was mainly thinking of a belly pan to keep some crud off the engine as I want to use the bike more for commuting.

  5. quite like the skidmarx belly pan hmm

  6. That is interesting. If it's a good colour match, and the fittings work well, then perhaps worth the extra over the Ricambi Weiss and all the work that would entail. I guess it would only need one aerosol can even if the colour was a bit out.

  7. My belly pan is from a Monster 900 and had all the parts to fit, it came from ebay, but I think it was one originally sold by Spareshack. The Skidmarx looks good, and I particularly like that it goes right along the underneath of the engine. Will make oil/filter changes a bit more of a trial.

  8. I must say I'm tempted. I might order one in red and see what it looks like - I shall report!

  9. Like the look of that myself
