1200 Guys From Rotherham

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by jcmental, May 17, 2015.

  1. Had a blat to Devils Bridge yesterday. I was sat drinking my coffee when 3 guys from Rotherham pulled up on 3 blinged up Mutlie's. I had a bit of a chat to them but felt a bit like a gate crasher on my "Normal" Mutlie so I decided to make like a tree and leave.
Was just wondering if they use this site? would be good to put a face to some names on here.

Just a note but in total there were 7 Multistrada's there at the same time, something's going on normally there's 2 max including mine and the rest is made up of BMW GS'ses

  2. Nothing wrong with being understated jc ;)

  3. I have to admit I ride more on the spirited side of the scale and no amount of bling is guna make me ride any faster. Chicken strips are my enemy.
I have to chuckle at the amount of panigale's I see with chicken strips and riders all leathered up in the newest Ducati liveried gear. It's sad to think they spent all that money and don't get anywhere near the full use out of their bike. What a waste.

  4. Sunday riders eh :)

My SS was bulk standard she would get more interest at times than the other bikes that were with me
    Less is more

  5. I was offered a ride on the 1299 Pani the other day and I bottled it! In my defence, it was 10 degC and I sold my 1098Tric over 4 years ago, so I wasn't feeling it, was only in jeans as I struggle to get in my Cap'n Fantastic leathers now, but I felt a bit ashamed of myself tbh, must be getting old?

  6. If you are riding a panigale on the road and have less than 5mm on the rear unscrubbed you are doing very well. The profiles and size is vastly different to that on a multi. Just saying ;)

  8. Whats the profile like? Steep or flat? The original tyres were easy to get to the very edge, within a few hundreds miles on the road I had the rear off. The Pr4s I have fitted are less so, and turn a lot quicker, interestingly I have my toes down not on the edge wher on the scorpians I was off the edge and toes were not down

bT16s I could get to the very edge on the road on my 848. Supercorsa, same rider same bike, had a good few mm left easy and needed a track to get close to the edge

  9. Wrong thread btw, you want thos in @Exige 's willy waving road tyre one ;)

  13. Refreshing to read a comment from somebody sensible, who obviously enjoys biking, respects others for the same outlook! Instead of a patronising, condescending and all over elitist point of view......:upyeah:
    :p

  14. The Angel GT's are easy to get to the edge...the PR4s less so.

  15. Awesome, looks like I've hit a few nerves.
Yeah but I bet your Makita drill doesn't cost half of the third world debt, and yes it is sad it's like going out and buying the latest plasmalaserledinfrared all singing all dancing TV and using it to watch old black n white films. yeah it looks good to anyone that comes round to visit but when they leave there thinking what's the point of him having a TV like that.

  16. No no no! You must try that 1299 Panigale. It's absolutely awesome with great toys like quick shifter and auto blipper. I've not ridden a true sports bike for years and I must admit I was dubious when the dealer insisted that I try it. However, I enjoyed myself so much a quick trip round the block turned into a 2 hour ride, but I did feel like Id been battered by the time I'd got back. Great for a one off ride but I don't think I could live with one. Much too much.

  17. Maybe I will get another chance later in the Summer, but in reality, I know I couldn't 'have one' as the body just won't allow it nowadays? But 200 bhp, are they really that much, insane for a road bike?!
