I Think Ducati Just Called Me...

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Gweev, May 8, 2015.

  1. I just had an unknown number call me. It started with +39 and i figured it was some scam call so rejected it.

But i was still curious so googled the number and found it was Ducati Bolognia calling me! Now I'm intrigued to know what they wanted but don't want to call Italy from my mobile.

Has anyone else had this call and can tell me what its likely about?

  2. I've had a few calls off them, they don't like me as I have one of their prototypes :D Maybe they don't like you too :Wideyed:
Do you have anything of theirs you shouldn't have? :)

  3. Nope, just a standard 899. Its new from April, but I've only done 300 miles. Maybe they're checking I haven't skipped the initial service thereby invalidating my warranty!

  4. Ah, sounds like they like you :(

  5. Maybe they call exige because they need some belts [emoji6]

  6. Their accountants would not allow the manufactured price point of ours :p they have budgets you know...

  7. Didn't someone else recently get a call like that - it was an invitation to fly out at Ducati's expense and test or give feedback on a new model?

  8. The shites didn't phone me, I filled out bloody every new owner questionnaire and service survey. Ah well, probably because I said the ktm was a great bike.

  9. That was KTM, they scouted for Ducati riders for feedback on a new model. A couple of members here flew over to take part :)

  10. Give them my number. There's only so many test rides I can get out of Crescent KTM before I actually have to buy something.

  13. I have emailed them a couple of times requesting information. Both times they rang me back very quickly. Both times I was called by a lady with a lovely Italian voice. Must think of some more questions to ask.

  16. A couple of years back I had a call from Bologna too.. Rossi had made the decision to quit our beloved moto gp team and Ducati Corse were offering me the ride, I agreed a contract with them which included Free Italian ice cream for life, was just about to sign on the line, when Mrs NOODS woke me with a cup of rosy ...
Life can be so cruel some times, I'll just have to make do with Mc Flurry's I guess... X

  18. what did they call you?
probably the same as they called me for trying to get a new dash out of warranty

  19. They might have been calling you regarding a product recall...."err - there was a batch that went out where there was a mix up with parts and your rear spindle is the one has a different part number indicating its manufactured from balsa wood....easy mistake..."

  20. They finally called back. Out was just a customer satisfaction survey about the dealer.

    How disappointing!
