1200 DVT My Test Drive

  1. My bike is an 11 plate S de-cated with Ohlins scu. I think it's runs smooth enough with plenty of power.
I had no thoughts if buying a new one but had my bike in for a service and mot.
I hadn't really read much about the DVT so didn't know what to expect.
Anyway, I was offered a test ride, dealer put it into sport mode and off I went.....
Straight onto a long stretch of A road in heavy traffic, yes it felt like a multi, yes it was smoother......
Now when I got to some nice twisty B road stuff things changed.
Wow! This felt way quicker than mine, brakes are far superior, the whole front end is just loads better.
If you leave things a little late my 11 plate ties itself up in knots but not this.
I basically just ragged the arse off it for half an hour, didn't fiddle with any switches and just had fun. It gave me a sweat-on and the same feeling of excitement I got when first took a Multi out.
I was very impressed with this new bike, so went home and crunched some figures. As I thought really, can't justify it, certainly can't afford one, so did the sensible thing and put a deposit down, can't bloody wait:)

  2. What is the CJS tune - ?

  3. CJS. Is a one man tuning shop. He has a rolling road and is housed in the same workshop as Luigi Moto south of Bristol. CJS (Chris) has invested a lot of time unpicking the fuelling and spark maps for the multi and many other bikes and the results are fantastic. He maps each cylinder for fuelling and spark throughout the Rev range and it transforms the bike

  4. Bought a T shirt from them last week to add to my expanding collection. Never bought BMW stuff the same as Ducati stuff. Looks like I'm in love again lol.
