  1. I have for the past month being having great fun getting to know my mutly, bonding I think they call it, and was really looking forward to having the first service done, then having a few more RPM at my disposal.
Went in for its first service yesterday, engine is goosed!!! GUTTED!
A circlip has gone awry and my engine is noisy.
    Awaiting further information tomorrow.

Item 38 or 39 is the offending item I think.

  7. Welcome to ducati ownership :Blackeye:

  8. This sounds very similar to me. Had about 2 weeks of superb 'bonding' followed by it dropping to one cylinder and not starting. In getting repaired as we speak. Hoping it's ready for the weekend.

If you liken it to the world of drugs, Ducati is your Meth or heroine. Class A, what a rush. But everyone on the reliable class C's & B's think we're mental for throwing our money at it. [emoji6]

  9. Happy days, new bike on it's way :)
Shame it's not a DVT

Ducati Leeds have been great so far.

Wasn't too keen on the courtesy bike at first

    Enjoyed it yesterday though!!!

  10. Lucky you with your loan bike. Mine has been stuck at P&H awaiting cylinder heads. With mine a rocker arm had come loose and smashed the engine to pieces. Will call them tomorrow and chase. Feel like the train spotting loo scene as I'm clicking for my bike.

  11. I know exactly how your feeling and I feel your pain!
They were going to fit a new motor to mine but there are none available, Ducati were pushing for a strip and rebuild, but the dealer stuck out for a new replacement bike, so that's what I am getting.
What miles has your on it?

  12. 6100 miles but on the ride home from the dealer it randomly reset to 650ish and told me to do the first oil service. Didn't stop or falter, just reset. Then before it was booked in to look at that weird issue, the engine gave out.

They did the 15k service on it before I took it though as I pointed out it's 15k OR 5 years [emoji106]

  13. 2010 model then I take it?

  14. Yep. Just bought a house and we're getting married in 2 months so it had to be a 2010/2011. Sold the R1 and found this one 12 miles away that same afternoon. The 12 month warranty sold it to me or I may have gone back to a KTM. Simple and bulletproof. Got the mutley now. No regrets. Just wish I had a loan bike

  15. I was looking at earlier models myself, but the heavily discounted price and the security of the warranty was too good an offer to resist.
I won't say all the usual stuff like "you should push for a bike" etc as I am quite sure you will have already done so.
Hope it all gets sorted really quickly and to your satisfaction, the season is upon us after all.

  16. I wanted to add a tracker so had to account for that in my budget. The dealer P&H are being really good about it all. No mucking about, just ordered all the parts and are getting on with it ASAP. Still waiting on cylinder heads. As soon as they are in they'll get it done and back to me.

  17. Well, after a month of being the most patient man on earth I have received my replacement Mutly, brand new D Air, although the D air bit is pointless for me.
I must sing the praises of Ducati Leeds, they have been more than helpful during this whole process, can't thank them enough, excellent service!
