So I bought a Yuassa battery, fitted it all fine, used it a couple of times, put bike back in garage for 1-2 months tried to start her to go for MOT on Saturday and nothing, no fuel pump noise, no turn over, wouldn't bump start down hill & even tho battery woz completely dead, wouldnt do anything when connected to jump leads! I assume going with wha I've read there could be a relay problem??
Sorted her, she's running! It was the battery in the immobiliser had gone so flat it wouldn't let the engine start! Bypassed it and started 1st press
Glad your sorted Richie - just out of interest, what model Yuassa battery did you get? I'm thinking of a new battery and I'm looking at Yuassa's but there seems to be several types to choose from, so I'm confused.... :Shamefullyembarrased:
Hi David, I'm not sure which model it is? I'll have a look next time I'm out on her (Saturday Hopefully [emoji106])
Worth considering a Lithium battery for the older Ducatis. Massive weight saving; nearly 5KG if I can recall. I put one on my 748 (and then the 848) and they spin the bike up much quicker than the standard heavy batteries
