I'm Staggered.....

  1. .......I've been driving around North Suffolk and Norfolk looking for a house to live in......(that's another story).......

............but I am astounded at some of the atrocious riding displayed by numerous bikers.........

....in fact, I was even labelling some as 'there goes a not long to live'............

I know I have mad moments, but what I saw beggared belief........

There was one in particular coming towards me , overtaking a line of cars and HGVs, in a 50mph limit and I reckon he was doing at least 90mph.......what made it worse, is that the road was bending to his left and he was on the outside of the bend on my side of the road.............

Another one in full leathers on a large capacity sports bike, was right up the bum of a box type HGV, trying to overtake the HGV doing about 50mph on a narrow B road......all I could see was his lid appearing around the back of the truck as he was desperately peering to see if a vehicle was coming towards him.......like me, for example.........if he had been 30 metres back he might have found it a damn sight easier.

  5. I would admit that at times my actions on the road are less than perfect. Roads are congested with various types of vehicles, some with 2 wheels, some with more than 4. Speed is not related in any way to the amount of wheels, complicated by a 3 wheel vehicle, which no engineer can prove the benefit.

I blame the google car. Everyone thinks they can use the web while driving.

We only got 1 road, let's all enjoy the journey.

  6. Why worry? The more time you think about them, the less time you think about doing what you should be doing, be it in a car or on a bike. Idiots are a fact of life, you can't control what they do so just sort yourself out and let them get on with it. We all see them and we've all done it and been an idiot as well.

    OGR.

  7. Don't worry?

F-me....of course I'm not worried when some tit is hurtling towards me on my side of the road at 90mph when I'm doing 50mph.........

..........but I can't exactly not notice them and think what I have to do to avoid them.......

........if I hadn't swerved, I suspect my windscreen would have shattered at 140mph.

  8. Unfortunately, some of these people will learn the hard way.I've done some damn stupid things in my youth on bikes and have the scars, still do daft things at times......but at the right time and place.
