749 Tps Values

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by Spjallen, Apr 26, 2015.

  1. I'm just finishing off with a new ecu post a 10.2 problem. All is well but I'd like to reset the tps. Does any know the values 100%. There seems to be two thoughts 2.9 to 3.2 or 1.3 to 1.5. I think the last ones are in degrees. Help!

  2. 1.3 degrees for the 749

  3. Is there a totally super awesome rating?! Thank you.

  4. Don't suppose you know the co2 envelopes?

  5. Thank you again. As you are obviously very well versed with the Jp diaog software would you mind if I asked you some more questions? My programme is very unstable but it should be able to run when when bikes running? my software freezes consistently after only a few seconds. Also is it okay to use the battery in the bike or should I use a seperate battery remote from the bike?

  6. The freezing is down to the KKL leads on some computers. Putting a cheap unpowered USB hub in line can solve the issue. You are better powering from the bike battery as you get a true figure on the voltage readout. If you wish, though, an external battery will work. Be extremely careful not to invert + and - on the fly leads.

  7. eBay here we come. Can I show you my sink now??!!

  8. Worth a punt at that price

  9. Ill let you know if it works. Don't really understand how it would stop the freezing though

  10. I use an external power supply on my setup - an old PC PSU that gives a lovely 12v reading!

If you connect the gnd of the external PC with the earth of the bike, they will use this as a common reference and you'll get a decent setup.

BUT if you're doing one-off jobs of resetting the TPS and so on, just connect it to the bike battery and make sure you have plenty of charge.

  11. Yet to try my connection, but my lead came with some notes on Timeout/Disconnection issues:
In Windows Device Manager, right click on the USB Serial Port and select 'Properties' from the sub menu. In the Properties window select the Port Settings tab and then click on Advanced. In the Advanced settings window change the following:
Change the Latency Timer to 2
You can change the Receive (Bytes) and Transmit (Bytes) settings to lower values if you experience disconnection issues too. There is no need to change this now. First try with just the Latency timer.
Press OK. Reboot your PC. Try again.
