Hi, I am after the following if anyone one has any of these they would be willing to sale. Horizontal engine cover (Cam Side) Ducati part: 247.1.212.1A Horixontal cam belt cover (Black) Ducati Part: 245.1.046.1AB Dave.
The first part is an aluminium cylinder head side cover, part nr. 1: The second part is a horizontal cylinder belt cover which is plastic, the one on the right:
Thanks for that Jusutus, Failed to find these used so i have sent the Aluminum case cover to my local welder to see if he can repair it as new this is £100. The Oil Cooler mount was snapped off :Banghead: which in turn shattered the cam belt cover. Still can't find a cam belt cover tho *BUMP*. Looks like a new one if i can't source one soon. Another £50!!!
OK, I might be able to sell you the belt covers, I have a 2003 999s, I assume they are the same? I will have to try and find them.
If I'm not mistaken the 2003-2004 belt covers are different from 2005-2006. This I say because there was a see trough vertical cover from Rizoma that was specifically for 2003/2004 and would not fit the 2005/2006. But Again I can be mistaken, but am fairly certain of this. I don't know if horizontal is the same.
This mixing of parts between models and years really confuses the hell out of me ....anyone know the answer to this?
2003-2004 does not have vented covers. 2003-2004: (sorry, could not find a decent picture of all together) 2005-2006: The later covers are a bit thicker too.
Ha...the one i am after looks the same as the one in the 1st set of photos. The 3rd photo down looks like the one.
The belts covers off the early bikes will fit. However, the part number you've listed isn't the one in the picture. The number you have is for the non vented one off something like a 749 dark... If you want the vented type, part number is 24520601A. If you struggle, new ones are about fifty quid.
Jusutus would it be correct to say that the parts will not mix together? Maybe that explains why the Rizoma covers would not work on 2005/2006
