Just a quickie...... Just riding home fuel light on the ssie comes on, did another 5 miles to garage and filled up. Riding back after putting in 12.5 litres to brim, fuel light illuminates the goes off whilst travelling then on and off an couple of times even though tank full. Any idea's where to start looking (before I take out the bulb) not done this before
Check sender float in tank. You might have damaged or bent it with nozzle at filling station. Happened on my 907. I ran out of petrol still showing fuel on the gauge.
when I took out my fuel sender I found wires had been bared when someone had fitted it before don't know if it would short and cause a problem with light or just explode just got a new one lol check the connector under the tank in case water has got in and playing havoc should look like this not sure you could damage it filling up.......could be some dirt making the float stick ? I am having fun with mine after sunday aswell lol
Ain't moved tank for ages so worth having a check underneath, may well have knocked it re-fuelling. Usually only put the nozzle partially into the tank so I can see where the fuel is.......interesting .... will investigate further.
mine stopped working a few years ago tank is good for 157.4 miles if its full, luckily in this case at 157.6 miles just around the corner was a petrol station nopt too far to push
