I changed the pads on the rear brakes because they seemed too lose. I was told the 899 used the same pads as the monster. So changed to the pads the 1199 uses. Breaking improved quite a bit.
Back brake on mine is really good, Front is a vague, even after a re bleed - when it goes for its service next month I will ask them to upgrade the front pads
