2002 750 Sport Ie Bar Conversion Help

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by moodubs, Jun 12, 2015.

  1. Hi as much as I love my 750 sport ie unfortunately I can no longer ride any distance due to the uncomfortable position. I was going to change it but after some advice from a guy on here Ive decided to keep her and do a handlebar conversion. Apparently you can drill the yokes on this model??? I haven't looked at the yokes yet as the bike is in my lock up. I was going to get a top yoke machined by a firm my engineering company used but if it can be drilled even better.

So basically , , , , has anyone on here converted one

    many thanks guys

  2. Yep. I used a carby yoke and drilled and tapped it to take risers. Will post pic.

I used Pit bike Risers, I have 2 lengths, these are the longer pair and look a bit easy rider, I am going to put the 20mm lower pair on soon.
I drilled the two holes that hold the clocks(underneath) through and tapped them the same thread. The bolts go right through and hold the clocks on. I have a spare carby top yoke for sale if you want to go for it.

  5. Think you may have bar / fairing interface issues if your bike is an ss Moodubs. I put Helibars on my 900ssie and also have them on the 999. A reasonable improvement in comfort but you can still get your hands trapped on full lock.
