Anyone used these? They seem very cheap but they're the only model specific sets I can find. Ducati Streetfighter 1100 10 Tapered Headrace Top Bearing Parts at Wemoto - The UK's No.1 On-Line Motorcycle Parts Retailer
Nope, not used Wemoto either but I think they have a decent reputation. I would call them and ask what specific brand they are, there are a lot of "fake" bearings on the market. If I was changing bearings I would look up the designation printed on the bearing and replace with a decent make such as SKF, FAG, NSK and for taper rollers Timken they invented the taper roller! and get them from a reputable aurthorised bearing supplier.
Yup, most large towns or cities will have a local bearing supplier on an industrial estate that will supply bearings at good prices.
I have used Wemoto once for an aftermarket Suzuki clutch cover gasket. It was just as good a quality as the original and considerably cheaper so I would use them again if necessary, quick delivery time as well. Tapered head bearings certainy work well enough on the 784-9** series bikes and I believe they were cheaper than an original Ducati set at the time I bought them a few years back, I don't know what the newer models use as their standard setup. As above get a quality set from a bearing supplier or have a check round ebay etc.
A couple of articles that may be of interest. By the way I'm not having a dig at Wemoto, I have only heard good about them. Just be careful about bearings! Counterfeit SKF Bearings | Consumer Alert Anti-counterfeiting
I bought the Wemoto bearings. All I know is they're Japanese. At least when I have them I'll have the designation number if I need to buy more. The trouble with buying form a bearing factor when replacing the stock ball race for the first time is you don't know what to ask for. These are half the price of OE ball bearings so if they do the job I'll be happy.
