Oil Warning Light

  1. Hello i have travelled to croatia from yorkshire what a blast,however the oil warning light is on having filled with the correct oil the light is still on is this any thing to be worried about as i have a long ride home

  2. What bike have you got?

    Check the oil sensor/sender that is plugged into the crankcase on the right-hand side - is it showing signs of leaking? This part often gives out false positives for the oil light, it just needs replacing if it has gone faulty. Leaking oil is a good sign of this.
     
  3. What bike are you on,the St or 998 916 and others had a very unreliable oil pressure switch, this part is the same as General Motors part,but GM part is about 3 euro

  4. My 999 is happily running a Vauxhall Aguila Oil Pressure Switch. As said above, cheap as chips :upyeah:

  5. Thanks for the reply i have now had this problem fixed by a mechanic by removing the oil 400 ML

  7. Thanks its still under warranty with ducati in shipley any way its all sorted now. thanks for the link.
     
  8. Glad it now sorted,but 400ml too much oil is quite an error?
