Morning gents, after an epic sprag failure on the beast I am replacing the starter system in full just to be safe and give me peace of mind. However I have the opportunity to replace the standard 2006 999 bip starter gear with a 999r after market variant. Can any of you boffins out there tell me if it will fit asa direct replacement or do I have to go for like for like . I can't imagine the gears being different sizes but we are talking Italian design after all. Hopefully interchangeable but advice would be appreciated . Thanks in advance Andy
