Red Light On Dash, Always On...

  1. The unlabeled red light on my dash (748s) is always on, even when the bike is turned off. Any thoughts? I understand from other posts that the red light isn't even used on my model/year. I wonder if it has been wired up for the alarm, but perhaps isn't working correctly?

  2. You talking about the one in the right hand clock?

  3. No, the one here [IMG]

  4. That *was* the alternator/charging light on early bikes but should be empty on yours.
I expect you're right about it being reused for your alarm.
It would be odd to have it on all the time, even when the bike is switched off, if it was the bike itself. An alarm will always be powered so it makes sense that it's that.

  5. That's the 'everything's ok' light. Time to worry is when it goes out.

  6. PS. Your bike isn't an S model.

  7. Why do you think it isn't an S model, that's what it says on the V5

  8. Because you have gold headlight bucket.

  9. That's not a pic of my bike though, that's just a pic off the net. It was easier to get one of the net to show where the red light is than go to the bike, take its cover off etc etc.

  10. Ah, sneaky! :upyeah:
