Hi Snipe i think so But, someone else has emailed about the same bike? i will let you know if she buys them
Hi Racing Duck yes it is make me an offer if you likei have touched in the scratched bits with black enamel
I might be interested in the discs if still available, what sort of mileage have they covered? Also could be interested in the belly pan / lower fairings if you still have them and are awilling to sell seperately? Cheers Paul
Hi Paul yes the disks and fairings are still for sale, the disks have not covered a lot of miles they were used on the track, i have not used them myself, but they look pretty straight on a flat engineers machine bench, there don't appear to be any surface wear at all just a little discoloring, are you interested in both L/H and R/H fairings and belly pan but not the top sections?
Thanks for coming back so quickly. Yeah it's really just the belly pan that I'm after. I've already got two spare sets of side fairings and a nose cone/fairing. The previous owner must have caught the fairing where the side stand goes through, it's fine really but I can see where they have scraped it and have used a touch up paint stick. So in truth I only need the one side of the belly pan but I appreciate in just selling that alone you'd then be stuck with the other side, so I'm up for possibly buying the pair if the price is right. The discs, the pair on my 1098s are on face value in great shape but I think the floating eyelet's / spacers are starting to wear, I can hear them taking up the play when I brake, usually only when I have killed the engine and freewheeling the bike, the guy who comes to change my tyres also said that they are getting a little near the edge of what is considered to be ok. I did find a company that'll take the discs drill out the bushes/eyelets and replace them etc.. But I figured if yours were in that much better condition then it might make more sense to buy them instead. Really it's all about the asking price, without giving the sob story I've recently moved home so funds are becoming a little stretched :-/
