Multistrada 2010 Exhaust

  1. hi has anyone here had any success in de-coring the standard exhaust? I like the look of the original version but would like a little more exhaust tone. I did this with success on a monster s4rs, but in that case the ends were riveted, whereas these are welded.

  2. Are you talking about removing the catalyst bits from inside the cat box? This would be very difficult and I'd be surprised if anyone has done it. Or are you just talking about the outlet pipes by your right heel? If so, it would be pretty easy.

  3. It would be...they are empty.

  4. Someone on Ducatims did a write up with pictures on gutting the cat. It involved cutting a hole in the bottom, removing the innards and welding it back together again. I'll see if I can find the thread and post a link.

  5. Thanks guys, I assumed the outlet pipes by my right heel would contain baffles that like on the monster could be removed. If it's all contained in the cat then that's a different matter altogether. I'm guessing it's a complete de-cat with new cans, which is what I was trying to get around.
Better start raiding the piggy bank!

  6. Would appear it's pretty common.
Cut a panel out smash up the cataliser core and drag it out get the panel welded back in. Or get another de cat system.
