1200 DVT Bluetooth. What Is It All For?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Powerflex, Aug 18, 2015.

  1. I don't use intercoms or phones on bikes as putting my helmet on is my way of getting away from all that chatter.

I have a satnav which I look at occasionally.

However I am at a bit of a loss as to what you would use the BT connectivity on the MS for? If I had a BT headset then I would pair my phone and or satnav and therefore I don't see the need for linking to the bike.

I am sure I am going to get flamed because it must tell all in that section of the manual that I haven't read, but can you explain?

  2. You can change your suspension settings on the fly just by talking into your phone, check your tyre pressures and distance to fuel empty.

"ok google, how much fuel do I have left"
"ok google, change to sport mode"

    it's awesome !

  3. You are joking of course.

Does it tell me when a software update is available to fix the trip reset?

  4. Mobile phones and motorbikes dont really go together unless you breakdown. On one hand mobiles are the best invention and on the other the worse. I think they are far more destructive than helpful. Sometimes I am glad that some technological advances have past me by. Dont do Fuzzbook or Twatter. I have a white picket fence around me with a sign that says fook off.
Whoops I went off on one then

  5. ...and what'll happen when some twit cuts me up and I shout "F***kin' a*se" ?

  6. Supposedly you can get a message display icon on your dash to inform you you've received a text. That is handy for my communication technique with my agency'

  7. Think for longer distance touring it would be useful for music etc if you are listening to some

  8. Unless you have a Zumo 660 Bradders so far the only thing I see it does that nothing else does is tell you you have missed a call on the dash, and who it was that called you, I thought it was also suppose to tell you have a text message.

  9. Was on the phone to my mum when some c*nt in a black merc pulled right out in front of me. Had to take to the white line on the outside of him to avoid as I couldn't anchor up as hard as I needed to in the wet. Mother did not like the expletives that were coming down the phone.

  10. Bluetooth is necessary to link to the multistrada mobile app that's in testing at the moment - it provides various ride stats such as max lean angle and speed, distance, max revs, hp....but for all things apart from that I'm more likely to use my satnav for multimedia (music/phone/satvav) management
